Born in Paris in 1945, graduated from Ecole des Beaux-Arts,Poitiers, in 1982 and from Cergy Pointoise in 1987. In 1993 won the Prix de France de Sculpture.
Sophie’s sculpture reflects her personality, she is enthusiastic, bubbly and fun with a great sense of humour.
She works mainly in polished Stainless Steel, and in just the past few years she has simplified and developed her art form with great dexterity.
With a twist and a curve to a piece of steel she clearly communicates movement, mood and emotion – quite amazing. Her sculptures evoke all the beauty and grace of dancers in full motion.
